Claire Lomas Finishes London Marathon

Claire Lomas crossed the finish line of the London Marathon on May 8th, sixteen days after the other 36,000 runners started the race.

In 2007, Claire was injured in a horse riding accident.  She has been paralyzed from the chest down since the accident.  With the help of a ReWalk bionic suit and two canes, she began walking in January 2012.

She finished the marathon in 16 days, averaging 2 miles per day.  She was accompanied by her husband, Dan Spincer.

Her walk of the London Marathon helped raise $100,000 for spinal cord research.  See her story at Yahoo and ABC news.
