Message From Jarrod Asmus

The following message is from Jarrod Asmus, Race Director of the Athletic Republic Run:

What a great event we had in 2012! With 991 people registering and 925 people crossing the finish line, 2012 proved to be our biggest and best year thus far.  Many, many thanks must go out to our over 100 volunteers and over 100 local businesses who helped support this event.  Proceeds again this year will help support Lake Region Healthcare’s Cancer Care & Research Center.  A big congratulations goes out to this year's winners: 

• David Jensen (male ½ marathon 1:24:06)
• Christina Floding (Female ½ marathon 1:34:36)
• Fargo Running Company - Jamison Gehrig / Cley Twigg (male ½ marathon relay 1:13:43)
• Full Moon - Taryn Brenna / John Peterson (coed ½ marathon relay 1:29:16) 
• W.H.O.R. - Michelle Johnson / Caryn Klosterman (female ½ marathon relay 1:57:59)
• Walker Busse (male 5K 18:40)
• Sara Permann (female 5K 22:20)
• Josh Longtin (male 1-mile 7:54)
• Bailee Griego (female 1-mile 8:15)

We are very much looking forward to the planning and preparation for the annual event which will be held next year on Saturday June 1, 2013.  Thanks again to the almost 1,000 runners that participated in this year’s event and also again to the many volunteers and local businesses who helped make this s reality.  It was a GREAT day!
